Hello, I am Paloma O’Toole, I am an author-illustrator.
I am late diagnosed autistic and non-binary, my preferred pronouns are ‘They/them’. My husband, cats and me live happily in a Victorian house outside London in a town called Newport Pagnell. I love the rain and the cold British weather.
I am originally from Spain, I was born in Cadiz and lived half my life in Seville. There I went to University to follow my dream of becoming an artist. Although I initially failed my drawing entry exam to the Fine Arts School, I graduated with a Masters Degree in Painting in 1999 and I won the University of Seville’s National Award in the category of Drawing/illustration in 2000 (when I love something, I do not give up easily).
What I love the most in this world is creating characters and writing stories. My favourite medium is digital illustration, it allows me to have a seamless workflow and get lost in my own imagination. My dream projects are those that promote diversity, kindness and inclusion.
My clients’ list include: Hewlett-Packard, Rebel Girls, Design House Greetings, Legacy Publishing, Little Brown Books, among others.
I am represented internationally by Naomi Davis at Bookends Literary Agency. If you would like to work with me you can reach my lovely agent at this email address: ndavis@bookendsliterary.com
